Isaias Benavides, Field Deputy
Isaias serves as a Field Deputy for Councilmember Harris-Dawson in the Southwest and Central regions of the district. His responsibilities at the district office include all local matters related to the Bureau of Engineering, Los Angeles Housing Authority, Housing and Community Investment Department, and Animal Services. In addition, he helps oversee the development of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) in Harvard Park.
Isaias attended Santa Monica College and later the University of Southern California to pursue his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. While there, he became actively involved in several environmental advocacy efforts including nature restoration in regions across California and building sustainability awareness in schools. A native of South Los Angeles, his close ties to the district enabled him to pursue the opportunity to work in his community. Isaias is passionate about serving his district and bringing the people and communities in it closer together.
