The Vision

Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson believes that city services should serve every resident and works with StreetsLA to ensure basic city services are delivered in a timely, efficient manner. As a lifelong organizer, Marqueece understands that communities in the Eighth are stronger when we work together and encourages residents to rally for improved city services by using MY LA 311. The demand for improved city services also creates an opportunity for jobs and the councilmember has partnered with EWDD to develop nontraditional pathways that connect residents to civil service careers. Additionally, the councilmember believes in permanent supportive housing to address the homelessness crisis and economic development that contributes to vibrant communities. Community Safety is a top priority for Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson and he has worked with community organizations and city departments to support safe thriving neighborhoods.
